The Loring Commerce Centre is an 8,700 acre former military installation, which has 2.8
million square feet of first-class space in many diverse buildings, numerous sites for future
construction and a full complement of services, including a 12,100 foot runway. It’s an
aviation, industrial and business complex which caters to a variety of industries, from
manufacturing and warehousing to telecommunications and office operations.
Not only does Loring offer a great place to do business, but the surrounding communities
offer a quality of life second to none. Aroostook County boasts a rural New England lifestyle
with people who take pride in everything they do--from personifying the strong work ethic
that has long been a part of the rich cultural history, to simply being a good neighbor.
Here you will find award-winning public and charter schools, as well as state and private
universities and a community college. Medical needs are
handled close to home as well, with two major health care
facilities nearby.
Recreational activities are endless and provide year round
opportunities in the midst of exceptional beauty. Hiking
and camping venues offer a new view everywhere
you turn and Maine's 2,000+ freshwater lakes,
streams, rivers and ponds are world-renowned for
salmon and trout fishing. Also close at hand are six
area golf courses, downhill ski areas and miles of
cross-country ski trails, as well as two world-class
biathlon venues. Aroostook County is a major
tourist destination for snowmobile enthusiasts
throughout the country who take advantage of the
more than 2,300 miles of groomed, world-class
snowmobile trails.
"Locating in this small but supportive and welcoming community has made it possible for us to achieve outstanding levels of performance and customer service, establishing an enviable reputation for excellence within our agency. We’ve had tremendous support from the very beginning, and our employees are truly talented, dedicated and hard working. This is the best operation I have been associated with in 30 years of government services."
